Glen Mills
History

In 1681, the area around Glen Mills was part of the original land grant given to William Penn. The first settler there was George Cheyney, which is how the town Cheyney nearby got its name. This land was later sold and divided. In 1704, Nathaniel Newlin built a mill at Glen Mills, providing growth and a name for the town. In 1975, the old property was built into a blacksmith shop. "The Longhorn Ranch", a "wild west" themed restaurant and roadside attraction operated in Glen Mills in the 1970s. In the 1980s, that same site was the location of Pulsations nightclub.
