Jenkintown
History

   
   The community of Jenkintown was named after a settler named
William Jenkins. The Old York Road Historical Society is located in Jenkintown and was founded in 1936. It studies and preserves the history and folklore of the communities near Old York Road from Philadelphia
to New Hope. It is open to members and the general public during normal hours.
